Our 2022 weekend – Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Wow, what a weekend we had. Over 30% of the attendees were first time Harvester’s and were treated to an amazing weekend. Martin Greenhalgh shared his powerful testimony on Friday night of how he had encountered the Holy Spirit and how it had transformed his life on many occasions. Michelle Moran then opened up the theme of Baptism in the Holy Spirit on Saturday morning and God came powerfully upon us on Saturday night with many men experiencing this for the first time. We rounded off on Sunday morning being sent out with this new mission. But don’t take my word for it. Visit the testimony page to find out more.
Our 2021 online events
In 2021 the Harvesters Men’s Weekend became the Harvesters Men’s Evenings. In Spring 2021 we ran three Tuesday evening session where we explored and unpacked the theme: “Empowered to Serve”. There was uplifting Praise and Worship, engaging speakers (Fr Chris Thomas, Tom Fairman, Russ Fairman) and the usual small group time in which to journey, share and delve deeper into the talks with other men from across the country. This was followed up by a further standalone session on “Evangelisation” with Fr Simon Penhalagan which took place in November.
Harvesters Catholic Men's Weekend
Harvesters is a national Catholic Men’s Network, with a desire to include men from other Christian Traditions. It seeks to encourage and equip men in their faith. Our annual weekends are a safe space for men to be refreshed in their faith. The weekend usually takes place at The Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
Time to grow in faith
Eucharist, sport, relaxation and a bar are included. Many men who have never been on such a weekend before are quite amazed at how they really relax, have a great time and meet with God.
Time to talk with other men
Time, that is, to talk in a little more depth than you might usually do. Most men, young and old feel the small groups are very valuable.
